We're finally on the road!

So after lots of ups and downs, we're finally on the road.

We've lived at Adam's Mum & Dad's house for the last 6 weeks, with Adam's Mum & Dad, Adam's little brother and his girlfriend, Adam's middle brother and his wife and their twin boys. A house full! We've had a lot of fun and lots of bonding time. Thanks again Kerryne and Gavan for having us!

Before that, we were living at the front of our house while we finished packing, cleaning and fixing things up at home. We have now rented out our house. 

The kids finished at their school last term. We have started Distance Education (SIDE) today. The work that we've started doing looks like fun!

Sparkles didn't end up coming with us. A good friend, and her family have adopted her. They love her and she loves them. We were quite sad but we think that our decision was the best one for her and us!


At the moment we are spending a couple of nights with my cousin and his family, in Jurien Bay. Tomorrow we leave for a few nights free camping. So exciting. Our adventure has begun!

First sleep in our new caravan!

So after having our new caravan for just over a week, we're finally having a sleep over in it (on our driveway).


Kids were very excited and didn't get to sleep till 9:30!

I've had a very busy week, packing up the house (nearly there) and trying to organize the caravan with all the belongings that I feel we NEED to take with us! I'm happy to say that there is still room left (at the moment).

Our Adventure Begins!

So this is my first blog about our Aussie Adventure! 

My name is Natalie, and together with my husband, Adam, our 3 kids, Jesse (8yrs), Dylan (6yrs) and Emily (2yrs) and our dog, Sparkles, we're going to head out and explore Australia. 

Operation, pack up house has begun! Over the last few month we've been sorting, organising, fixing and packing up the house slowly. And now it's full steam ahead. Its already doing my head in.

We should be getting our new caravan, a Jayco Expanda, in a couple of weeks. The boys were very excited when the saw our van being displayed at the Perth Caravan & Camping Show recently. I'm getting nervous about how we are going to fit all our stuff in it.

We plan to rent out our house and store our furniture/belongings. I'm going to home school the kids and we'll stop for a few months here and there to work. Adam is a builder/handyman (he can do anything) and I've (prior to children) worked in childcare. I also sell Nature Direct, natural cleaning products. We hope to be on the road for a couple of years!


This is going to be a big change for all of us but we have been dreaming of travelling for a long time and finally 
WE ARE GOING TO DO IT!
